Hello MapView
Hi While trying out Hello MapView tutorial application works fine till I add following lines GeoPoint point = new GeoPoint(19240000,-99120000); OverlayItem overlayitem = new OverlayItem(point, "", ""); When I run app after adding these lines exception causes Application to shut down. I could not debug as debugger could not start.

findViewById() returns null
Yes, this post have been discussed a lot here and I have read those posts and tried to do it right. The ids are correct. Java and xml. XML handles the Android interface and Java does all the work behind the scenes. Definately learn Java first, become somwhat understanding of xml, then dive into Android resources because Android does have it's own libraries and such.
