Camera question
Hey all, I have a question about adding frames to the camera, basically i want to add a boundary to the camera viewfinder where by the image taken should be inside the parameters of the frame. The problem is i have no idea how to implement this and i cant find this online. Does anyone know if its possible or if there is some tutorial i can follow

Custom Spinner
Hi all, The default drop down view of the spinner occupies the entire width of the screen. I tried to create a custom spinner which occupies only some portion of the width of the screen, but I'm unable to do. I want to see the objects behind the drop down. Here is what i tried, I changed the drop down view as,

draw() vs onDraw()
Hi, I am implementing my custom view in which I extend LinearLayout, add some children, and do some paintings over them. when I override onDraw method, I found my painting is done below children components but I want my painting o be over children component. Instead I tried to override the draw() method itself.

G-force calculation
Hi, I have an application that reads the x,y,z values of the accelerometer, although im unsure on how to calculate the G-Force on the x axis, and again separately on the y axis. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

You upgraded to openeclair? I'm not sure about 1.2.1 but I'm running 1.2.2 and this is a known issue that will be fixed in next release.

Ummm... if the emulator doesn't support bluetooth then there is no way to enable bluetooth in the emulator. I'm not sure, when using drawableRight/Left/etc if you can differentiate a click on the drawable itself versus a click on the text. Just put together a simple layout (LinearLayout, RelativeLayout, FrameLayout, your choice) with the EditText and an ImageView and then you can detect just clicks on the image.

You are right on the money! The disadvantage is that they have to install both.
